James F. Parada

OAK RIDGE/MEDINA- James F. Parada, 73 of Oak Ridge, Texas and formerly of Medina, New York, entered into eternal rest on Monday, May 1, 2023 after a battle with cancer.

Born June 4, 1949 he was the second of five children born to the late Anthony F. and Margaret M. (Hedges) Parada. James leaves behind his brothers, Stephen (Linda) Parada of Kenmore, Robert Parada of West Seneca and sisters, Catherine (Brent) Akin of Kerrville, Texas and Mary Parada of Oak Ridge, Texas; nieces and nephew Cynthia (Raymond) Sneed of Rochester, Christopher Parada of Kenmore and Emily (Stephen) Richards of Olathe, Kansas; and great-niece and nephew, Addie and Noah Richards.

James graduated from Medina High School in 1968. He worked for Harrison Radiator, Bernzomatic and Eastman Kodak. He was also an active member of the Sacred Heart Club in Medina. Later, James took up residence in Venice, Florida until 1988 when, with other family members, he moved to Oak Ridge, Texas. James worked for Boring Specialists in Houston, until his retirement in 2011.

The family greatly appreciates all the help and support received over the course of the past few months from neighbors, friends, care givers and hospice staff.

His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 22 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Parish, St. Mary’s Church, 211 Eagle St., Medina. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Share condolences at www.cooperfuneralhome.com
