James F. Fisher

American flagJames F. Fisher of Waterport/ Albion passed away peacefully on Jan. 7, 2021 at the age of 81.

Jim was an Airman 1st Class, 3rd Class Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy. After his honorable discharge he began his work career finally retiring from Rochester Products (Delphi) after 28 years on Sept. 1, 2005. Jim was also an Honorary Lifetime Member of the Carlton Fire Department.

Predeceased by his parents, Howard and Wilma (Seager) Fisher; father- and mother-in-law Earl and Rose (Lienhart) Kirchner; sisters: Elaine Fisher and Jean Kidney; brothers and sister-in-law: Wayne Hughes, Michael and Ann Bourke and William Kirchner.

Survived by his wife of 58 years, Rosemary (Kirchner) Fisher; children: David (Tammy) Fisher, Debra Howes, Wm. Scott (Carolyn) Fisher and Beth Williams. Grandpa to: Adam (Audra), Joshua (Libby} and Brandon Fisher, Dylan and Derek (Taylor) Howes, Lillian and Wm. Reilly Fisher, Kayla (Robert) Wood, Kyle and Tyler Williams. Great-Grandpa to: Caleb, Amelia, Jonah Fisher, Hadley and Hayden Wood.

Also surviving are his sister Anita (William) Semans; brother-in-law, Phillip Kidney; and sister-in-law, Nancy Kirchner; along several nephews and nieces, special friends: Walter and Andrea Passmore; and his special feline buddies: Sylvester and Callie Cat.

Jim requested to make an anatomical gift to the University of Buffalo as a contribution to the research of Dementia and Parkinson’s Disease, therefore the family will gather for a private graveside service at a later date. Donations may be made to COVA or the Parkinson’s Foundation in memory of James Fisher.
