James E. “Jay” Richards, Jr.
MEDINA – James E. “Jay” Richards, Jr., 41, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 20, 2023 at his residence. Jay was born October 1, 1981 in Medina, a son of James E. Richards, Sr. and the late Vicky L. (Wenner) Richards.
He worked for many years in construction as a pipe fitter, lastly in Kentucky. He enjoyed spending time with his children and will be missed by his loving family.
Predeceased by his mother, Vicky Richards; grandparents, Vivon Wenner and Lettie Wenner and Ruth Richards; and cousin, Brian Wenner.
Survivors include his children, Elijah Norris, Myles Richards and Shyann Richards; father, James E. Richards, Sr.; sister, Nikki Clanton, both of Alabama; brother, Ryan (Colleen) Richards of Medina and Christopher Richards of Alabama; grandfather, Carl Richards; nephews, Steven and Jayce Clanton and Carter Richards; and uncle, Eric Richards.
Services will be privately held by the family. Arrangements are in the care of Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina.
