James Bruce Winters
James Bruce “Jamie” Winters, 60, of Medina, went to be with the Lord on Tue., Dec. 4, 2018 at United Memorial Hospital, Batavia.
Born on Jan. 31, 1958 in Medina, he was the son of his late father, Arthur (Jean) Winters and his late mother, Grace (Walter) Litchfield.
Jamie graduated from Holley High School in 1976 and went to work in his father’s company, Winters Feed Service, on Ridge Road in Medina. He married the former Phyllis Pries on July 22, 1978, and together they raised a son. In 1995, Jamie started his own feed store, Jeff-Ja Trucking on Ridge Road, Medina. Jamie enjoyed spending time with his family, especially with his grandchildren. In his spare time, he raised cattle and had a passion for antique cars.
Jamie is survived by his wife of 40 years, Phyllis; and a son, Jeffrey (Kristi) Winters of Albany, N.Y.; two grandchildren, Stella and Benjamin Winters; two brothers, Doug (Bev) Winters of Medina and Robert (Marsha) Winters of Medina; step-siblings, Diane (Joe) McAvinney of Philadelphia, Wayne Litchfield of Medina, Linda Clark of Medina and Rob (Ann) Fulwell of Medina; a sister-in-law, Barbara Farley of Medina; three brothers-in-law, William (Julie) Pries of Lyndonville, Daniel (Lori) Pries of Kendall and Arthur (Pam) Satkowski of Las Vegas; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends may call on Fri., Dec. 7 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Bogan & Tuttle Funeral Home, 226 Pearl St., Medina NY 14103, where a funeral service will be held on Sat., Dec. 8 at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Michael Stephenson officiating. Burial will be in Hartland Cemetery.
