Jacob A. Hendershot

Jacob A. “Jake” Hendershot, 23, of Albion, passed away unexpectedly on Mon., Aug. 5, 2019.

Born on July 3, 1996 in Malone, N.Y., he was the son of Ann (Chris) (Hendershot) Goodrow and Ted (Tiffany) Champney.

Jake graduated from Medina High School in 2014 and was employed with Whiting Door Company of Akron, N.Y. In his spare time, Jake enjoyed being outdoors, especially while hunting, fishing, and playing lacrosse and basketball. He also enjoyed playing video games. He was dearly loved by his family and friends and will be missed by all who knew him.

Jake is survived by his mother, Ann (Chris) Goodrow of Stockholm, N.Y.; father, Ted (Tiffany) Champney of Albion; maternal grandparents, James (JoAnn) Purcell and Howard (Laura) Goodrow, all of St. Regis Falls, N.Y., and James (Donna) Hendershot of York, S.C.; paternal grandparents, Karen Champney and Mike (Patty) Pisano, both of Medina; three sisters, Jaiden, Olivia and Annalyse; two brothers, Daniel and T. J.; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Jake is predeceased by an aunt, Suzie Hendershot.

Relatives and friends may call on Fri., Aug. 9 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Alabama Full Gospel Fellowship Church, 5329 S. Gravel Road, Medina NY 14103, where a funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. with the Pastor, Rev. Russell Peters, officiating. Burial will be private for the family.

Memorials may be made in Jake’s name to Orleans County YMCA, 306 Pearl St., Medina NY 14103.
