Jack Rossman

Jack W. Rossman, 83, of Waterport, died Jan. 8, 2019 in the Martin Linsin Hospice Residence, following a brief illness. He was born Nov. 3, 1935 in Bellefonte, Pa. to Kermit and Thelma (Miller) Rossman, and he lived in this area for over 20 years.

Jack was a veteran of the United States Air Force, a member of Spring Mills United Church of Christ, a life member of the NRA, and an avid outdoorsman – in particular, he loved to fish. That is part of the reason he and Roseann moved to this area, because of the excellent fishery. Jack was a gunsmith and a hobbyist who built working models of antique “Hit and Miss” engines. He enjoyed taking people on his boat, “Agitator,” to fish the bounties of Lake Ontario.

Jack is survived by his wife of 58 years, Roseann; two sons, Jack K. (Lynne) Rossman of Colorado and Chris (Cherenne) Rossman of California; a sister, Jill (John) Palmer of Pennsylvania; four grandchildren, Megan, Sydney, Julia and Shelby; a niece, Darbie; and a nephew, Philip.

There will be no calling hours. Private service and interment will be held at the convenience of the family in Pennsylvania.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Orleans, P.O. Box 489, Albion NY 14411.

Jack’s arrangements have been entrusted to Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. of Albion. To share a memory of Jack, please visit www.christophermitchell.com.
