Isabelle L. Wheatley

NIAGARA FALLS – Isabelle L. Wheatley, age 98, formerly of Knowlesville, died November 13, 2024 in Absolut Care Center of Gasport.  She was born July 13, 1926 in Jeddo, New York to Claude and Hazel (Brown) Lansill and had lived in the Niagara Falls area since 1961.

Isabelle worked for over 33 years as a mail clerk for ParMed Pharmaceuticals in Niagara Falls from 1985-2018.  She enjoyed being a member of the Sanborn Senior Citizens Group, gardening, Euchre, doing embroidery and needlepoint. She was lover of animals…especially cats, and was a person who was loved by many.  Mrs. Wheatley was predeceased by her husband Gerald, and her sisters: Agnes Barnard, and Viola Grimes.

She is survived by her children: Mary (Dennis Brannon) Wheatley of Niagara Falls and Larry Laskey of Niagara Falls as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends  at the Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home, 38 State St.-Middleport, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. where a Celebration of Isabelle’s Life will be held at 12 noon ion Saturday, November 30.

Interment will be in Bates Road Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to: Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY, 14094.  Isabelle’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home of Middleport.
