Irene E. Lynch
Irene E. Lynch, 94, of Wilson, passed away peacefully at home on July 14, 2019. She was born Aug. 29, 1924 in Buffalo to the late Albert and Elizabeth (Burkhart) Rostin.
Irene loved to knit and tend to her flowers. She loved all animals and especially loved spending time with her cats. She worked as a housekeeper at Newfane Hospital before she retired. Irene was a fun-loving and generous person to many.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Arthur G. Gillis; second husband, Andrew A. Lynch; son, Arthur Gillis Jr.; and siblings, Florence Schrader and Albert Rostin.
Irene is survived by her daughters, Edith (Gil) Seekings and Deborah Gillis; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends on Fri., July 26 from 1 to 2 p.m. at Kenneth H. Sherrie Funeral Home, 6139 East Ave., Newfane NY 14108, where her memorial service will follow at 2 p.m.
