Ida Mae Truax

Ida Mae “Cindy” Truax, 85, of Royalton, passed away on Sept. 15, 2019 after a lengthy illness. She was born Jan. 8, 1934 in Buffalo to the late Leonard and Mildred (Campbell) Miller.

Cindy was a member of Royalton United Methodist Church, a past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, a past President of the Royalton Historical Society, and a member of the Hartland Historical Society.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased in 2008 by her husband, Robert Truax, whom she married Aug. 18, 1956; and by her sister, Lenette (Larry) Moore.

Cindy is survived by her children, Lance (Kathy) Truax, Wayne (Patricia) Truax and Lisa (Jim) Murphy; grandchildren, Shane (Heather) Truax, Tara (Daniel) Baker, Jennifer Murphy, Jay Murphy, Joel Murphy, Theresa (Erik) Gunio, Christopher Baker and Kimberly Truax; great-grandchildren, Madysen, Brooke, Nellie, Nathaniel, Max and Alex; sisters-in-law, Jeanette Hamminga and Ann Truax; brother-in-law, Richard Truax; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Sun., Sept. 22 from 1 to 5 p.m. at Sherrie Bream Funeral Home, 4521 Main St., Gasport NY 14067, where her funeral service will be held on Mon., Sept. 23 at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Acacia Park Cemetery.
