Ida Callicutt-Sisson

Ida “Linda” “Poochie” Callicutt-Sisson, of Albion, passed away peacefully Oct. 18, 2019. Linda was born Jan. 11, 1951 in Rockingham, N.C. to the late James T. Wall Sr. and Effie Wall.

Linda was well known in the community for her many years of working as a nurse, attending church and singing in the community choir. Linda had a laugh that was contagious and known miles away. She loved to travel and to attend sporting events, musical concerts, festivals and, most importantly, the casino. She was always up for an adventure and was the life of the party. Linda’s true love was spending time with her family and friends. She was one of the kindest people you would ever meet, for she always opened her heart and home to anyone, and she will be deeply missed.

Linda was predeceased by her mother; her father; her husband, Joe D. Callicutt Sr.; her daughter, Kathleen “Kat” Callicutt; and her granddaughter, Ciara Callicutt.

She is survived by her “boys,” Ronald (Tisha) Wall of Newark, Del., Joe (Pam) Callicutt Jr. of Gates, N.Y., Rayford (Sarah) Callicutt of Albion, Andre (Laurie) Callicutt of Hingham, Mass., and Shawn (Stephanie) Callicutt of Albion; her siblings, Evelyn Rush, Laura (Andrus) Rodriguez, Christine (Johnny) Smith, Evangelist Peggy (Liddon) Bullock, James T. Wall Jr., Ray Charles Wall, and Mary Darlene Wall; her grandchildren, Joseph, Rayford Jr., Marque, Hailee, Isaiah, Rylend, Logan, Avery and Landyn Callicutt; her great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends at Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc., 21 West Ave., Albion, on Wed., Oct. 23 from 5 to 8 p.m. A celebration of her life will be held on Thu., Oct. 24 at 11 a.m. at Albion First Presbyterian Church, 29 E. State St., Albion NY 14411.
