Henry L. “Hank” Taylor

Henry L. “Hank” Taylor, a native of Fort Valley, GA, and resident of Rochester, NY, went home to be with the Lord on August 7, 2021.

Henry was born May 3, 1945 to the late William Gray and Willie Mae Gray. He graduated from Medina High School.  He entered the United States Marine Corps on June 25, 1964 and returned home on August 26, 1968.  He later worked for Conrail until his retirement.  He was a loving father, grandfather and proud Marine.  He loved to listen to old school “Motown” music and he lived by the motto “Striving and Surviving”.

Henry leaves to cherish in his memory his four children, Henry (Monique) Taylor Jr. of Fort Worth, TX, a loving a devoted daughter Renee (Fiayari) Taylor of Rochester, NY, Scott Hinkley of Batavia, NY and Tyrome Taylor of Buffalo, NY. Two step daughters Pam Ward of Charlotte, NC and Tanya Taylor of Rochester, NY, one stepson Evan Warren of Buffalo, NY, eleven grandchildren, Catarra Howard, James Conner Jr., Lanasia O’Neal, Jahlil Taylor, Kaiya Taylor, Santyonna Hinkley, Sean Hinkley, Sonya Hinkley, Sylas Hinkley, Savion Hinkley and Lucas Hinkley, one great grandson Maison Howard and a host of cousins and friends.

Relatives and friends may call on Sat., Aug. 21, 2021 from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the Bogan & Tuttle Funeral Home, 226 Pearl St., Medina, NY 14103, where a funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. with the Rev. Lambert Duncan officiating. Burial will be in the Boxwood Cemetery with full military honors.
