Halina Maria Usselman
LEESBURG – Halina Maria Usselman, 82, of Leesburg FL, died peacefully at home surrounded by family on August 17.
She was born in Tychy Poland in 1943 to Zofia and Stanislaus Gromek and moved to New York in the 1960s when she married Earl Usselman and raised her only son, Orest Usselman. Halina Usselman moved to Leesburg Florida in the 1990s and enjoyed a quiet social life.
Halina Usselman was preceded in death by her husband Earl J. Usselman, her siblings Mateusz, Genowefa, and Ryszard, her parents, Zofia and Stanislaus, and are survived by Orest D. Usselman (Catherine Usselman), his children Danelle Smith (Mathew Smith), Michele Tucholski (Joseph Tucholski), Christopher Usselman, Casey Usselman, Cameron Usselman, Cate Usselman (Matthew DeCarlo), Sofia Usselman, and seven great-grandchildren.
Halina especially will be remembered for her love of gardening, caring for animals, crocheting, her love of cookies, and known by many as the “Polish Princess”.
