Gordon Lee Miller
Gordon Lee Miller, 66, of Medina, passed away on Sun., Sept. 6, 2020 at Millard Fillmore Suburban, Williamsville, N.Y. He was born on April 5, 1954 in Albion, a son of the late Fred and Velma (Haviland) Miller.
Gordon lived most of his life in the Knowlesville-Medina area and spent many years working on various farms, including the Chaffee Farm, the Knights Farm and, lastly, the LaMont Farm, owned by Roger LaMont at that time. After putting aside farm work, he began driving for the local Amish community, including Ivan Yoder, Vernon Yoder and, lastly, Steven Miller.
Besides his love of farming and driving, he loved sharing the last 30 years of his life with his friend, soulmate and wife, Debra (Hickey) Miller. He also loved spending time with his children, Mark (Sandra) Miller of Wilson, Devon (Jeff) Budziszewski of Barker, Heidi (Rob) Suckar of Bellefonte, Pa., Mark Hickey and his partner, Jenna Balog of Medina, and Matthew Hickey of Palm Springs, Calif.; his grandchildren, Taylor, Jarrett, Emilee, Dominic, Owen, Malachi, Noah, Nicholas and Lillianna; and his expected great-grandchild, Zaydrain. He is also survived by his siblings, Ed (Shirley) Miller of Indianapolis, Ind., Roxanne Culmo of Holley, and Lyle (Nancy) Miller of Livonia; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mark and Elizabeth Houseman; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his siblings, Robert Miller, Darlene Rossi, Francis Miller, Linda Miller, Ruth Ann Davis, Sharon Otero and Ronald Miller; a brother-in-law, Joe Culmo; and a sister-in-law, Cathy Miller.
Relatives and friends may call on Wed., Sept. 9 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Bogan & Tuttle Funeral Home, 226 Pearl St., Medina NY 14103. A funeral service will be held on Thu., Sept. 10 at 11 a.m. at the home of Vernon Yoder, 10847 Waterbury Road, Lyndonville NY 14098, with the Pastor Ron Houseman officiating.
Burial will be in West Ridgeway Cemetery, Medina. With restrictions on social gatherings still in place, you will be required to wear a face mask to enter the funeral home, and social distancing guidelines will be in place.
