Gloria (Wolf) O’Mara

Gloria O'MaraGloria W. O’Mara, 80, of Albion, passed away Jan. 25, 2019. She was born Dec. 10, 1938 in Rochester, a daughter of the late Raymond and Elsie (Webster) Wolf.

She was employed by the Orleans County Department of Social Services for 17 years, and by the state of Florida for 10 years. Gloria enjoyed sewing, bingo and baseball, especially when Cal Ripken was playing. Gloria received the most enjoyment spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, James, in 2012; and by her sisters, Ellen Wolf, Rosemary Kingsley and Carol Durfee.

Gloria is survived by her children, James “Buzzy” O’Mara of Albion, Pamelia (Rick Heise) Taylor of Albion, Linda (Brian) Burke of Albion, Debra O’Mara of Albion and Brenda “Bear” Creasey of Albion; grandchildren, Joshua (Laura) Wolck, Michael (Karina) Sargent, Danielle (Mitch Todd) Wirth, Alexis Creasey, Christian Swiercznski, Nicolina Creasey, Guy and Jeffrey Burke; great-grandchildren, Josephine Wolck and Oakley Todd; sisters, Shirley Gatti of Rochester and Cynthia (Frank) Cape of Florida; brothers, William (Sue) Wolf of Tennessee and Raymond C. Wolf of Florida; brother-in-law, Thomas Durfee; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends on Thu., Jan. 31 from 2 to 6 p.m. at Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc., 21 West Ave., Albion, where Gloria’s funeral service will follow calling hours at 6 p.m. Entombment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Holley.
