Gloria Walburn

On Nov. 27, 2018, Gloria Carol Walburn, 74, entered eternal rest in Austin, Texas after a short illness. She was born Oct. 25, 1944 in Albion to the late Bruce and Gladys Baldwin.

Gloria was a longtime resident of Albion. She was a very loving, caring and gentle soul who loved the thrill of EMS. She loved crafts and sewing, and she was a proud member of the Conservative Party. Gloria worked as a school bus driver for the Albion School District for at least 20 years. She also worked as an EMT paramedic for LaSalle Buffalo and the Carlton Fire Department, and she volunteered for COVA. She loved her adventure flying down from New York into Texas last year on Dec. 6, and she loved her new home.

She is predeceased by her husband, Charles Walburn, who passed away on March 14, 2018.

Gloria leaves behind loved ones in Texas as well as in New York. In Austin: her daughter, Corrine (Merle Monnier) Walburn Banach; her granddaughter, Courtney (Daniel) Errington; and her great-granddaughter, Lola Ann Errington. In New York: her brother, Bernie Baldwin; sister-in-law, Linda Baldwin; and brother-in-law, Ronald Walburn.

A very private family service is being held in Austin, Texas for immediate family only. Memorials may be made in Gloria Walburn’s name to COVA.
