Geraldine CookGeraldine M. Cook, 92, of Albion, died March 12, 2020 while under the care of Hospice of Orleans at the Martin-Linsin Residence. She was born April 9, 1927 in the Town of Gaines to Roy and Clarice (McOmber) Hill and was a lifetime resident of this area.

Geraldine was a winner of the State Spelling Bee when she was in high school and went on to graduate from Rochester Business Institute. She was a member of the Albion Senior Citizens Group, and she enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles, reading, crocheting, and especially entertaining her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Cook was predeceased by her husband, Ivan; a daughter, Claire Babcock; and a great-grandson, McCoy Parlier.

She is survived by her son, James Cook of Albion; daughter, Maxine Woolston of Florida; grandchildren, Allan Babcock, Jennifer Jurs, Nick Woolston, Kimberly Thornton, Susan Cook and Michael Cook; 11 great-grandchildren; and a dear friend, Leonard Parlier.

In accordance with the recommendation of the Federal Government, New York State Government and the CDC, there will be no calling hours for Geraldine M. Cook and the funeral service will be private. Interment will be in Mt. Albion Cemetery.
