George T. White

American flagMIDDLEPORT/GREECE – George T. White, 89, formerly of Middleport, died December 23, 2020 in Unity Hospital following a brief illness. He was born August 10, 1931 in Middleport to George M. and Hazel (Wolfe) White and had lived in this area for most of his life.

George was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War, a member of the Middleport American Legion Post #938, former member of St. Stephen’s R.C. Church, The Holy Name Society, and current member of St. Mark’s R.C. Church in Greece.

He worked as a systems analyst for FMC and in earlier years he was active in the Boy Scouts of America, enjoyed traveling and camping and was also a sports enthusiast.

Mr. White is survived by his wife of 68 years, Teresa; children, Pat Scarbinsky of Greece, George (Marleen) White of Middleport, Stewart White of Middleport, and James (Kendra) White of IL; a brother, Robert White of VA; grandchildren, Katie (Trevor), Sandra, Justin (Lisa), Alee, Ben, Michelle (Drew) and Bruce; 4 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter.

There will be no calling hours. George’s service and interment will be held in the spring along with military honors. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to: Joseph’s Place Food Pantry, 296 Flower City Park, Rochester, NY, 14615.

George’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home of Middleport.
