George G. Kerridge

American flagGeorge G. Kerridge, 77, of Ocala, Fla. entered into rest on Mon., Oct. 25, 2021 at his home in Ocala, Fla. 

Born on May 25,1944 in Albion, NY, he was the son of the late James and Frances (Grear) Kerridge. 

George graduated from Albion High School and then went into the Navy from July 26, 1962 until Aug. 30, 1966. On April 12,1969 he married Sharon Anne Miller. Together they made their home on the Ridge in Gaines, NY until 1998 when they relocated to Ocala, Fla. He was employed at Kodak in Rochester, NY until his retirement and then worked for the Marion County Sherriff’s Office and Gilbert’s Hardware. He enjoyed his Norton motorcycle and belonged to the NYNOA for many years. 

George is predeceased by his parents; brother, Clyde Kerridge; and brothers-in-law: Robert C. Miller and Wade Darwin. He is survived by his wife, Sharon; nephews: James Kerridge, Jason Miller and Steven Miller; nieces: Heather (Ron) Kerridge-Smith and Rebecca Kerridge Lieving; two special nephews: Dan & Jay Nottingham; several great and great-great-nephews and nieces. He is also survived by sisters-in-law: Linda (Kurt) Kerridge Benz, Donna (Steve) Miller-Gordon, Linda Darwin; and brother-in-law, Michael (Donna) Miller. 

George’s graveside and military service will be held on Tue., Nov. 16, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Mt. Albion Cemetery in the Veterans Companion Section of the Cemetery.
