George B. Johnson
George B. Johnson entered into rest on Sat., Dec. 22, 2018 at his home. His body has been donated to science at the University of Buffalo School of Medical Science.
George was born Nov. 20, 1931 in Philadelphia. He was a veteran of the Korean War, and he graduated from Lebanon Valley College in Lebanon, Pa.
George was predeceased by his first wife, Jane L. Johnson.
He was the devoted and proud father of Kirsten (Richard) Glass of Medina and Jim (Lori Burdett) Johnson of Navarre, Fla. He is also survived by his adoring grandchildren, Alicia Glass of Medina, Patricia (Kyle) Allen of Medina, Gavin Glass of Medina, Maggie Johnson of Florida, and Sarah Johnson of Florida; a great-grandson, Bryce Allen; his wife, Marsha Sterritt Johnson; six cherished stepchildren, Maggie (Thomas) Lupo, Michael (Andrea) Porth, Mark Porth, Matt (Rhonda) Porth, Steven (Kate) Stuckey and Elizabeth Stuckey; and dear friends for over 60 years, Jim and Selina McArdle of Cheshire, Conn.
Memorials in George’s honor can be gifted to Covenant United Church of Christ, 4449 Main St., Gasport NY 14067; or to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport NY 14094.
Services will be held privately.
