Gary W. Thaine
Gary W. Thaine, 70, of Albion, passed away Nov. 17, 2019 at Unity Hospital following a short illness. Gary was born July 30, 1949 in Albion, a son of the late Gerald and Janice (Barnum) Thaine.
Gary enjoyed golf, camping, puzzles, fishing and NASCAR, and he owned the fantasy football team, “Thunder Rockers.” Gary received the most joy spending time with his family and friends. He retired from the United States Postal Service in Brockport.
He is survived by his brothers and sister, Gene (Sue) Thaine, David (Marilyn) Thaine, Tom (Marsha) Thaine, Anita (Brad) Nudd and Michael (Susan) Thaine; nieces and nephews, Justin (Vicky) Thaine, Travis (Heidi) Thaine, Adam (Lindsay) Thaine, Jessica (Tyler) Swanger, Stephanie Thaine, Aaron (Jeannette) Thaine, Abigail Thaine and Kyle Thaine; two great-nieces; a great-nephew; and several cousins.
The family will receive friends at Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc., 21 West Ave., Albion, on Tue., Nov. 19 from 4 to 7 p.m., followed by Gary’s memorial service at the funeral home at 7 p.m. Private inurnment will take place in Mt. Albion Cemetery.
