Gary L. Allen
ALBION – Gary L. Allen, age 73, passed away unexpectedly November 13, 2023 at his home. He was born January 29, 1950 in Albion, a son of the late Clifford and Doris (Seeley) Allen and had lived in this area all of his life.
Gary was a member of the Gaines Carlton Community Church where he served as Trustee for several years. He also served on the Albion Republican Committee and worked as a Production Planner at Kodak, retiring in 2006. Gary enjoyed playing the piano and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, who were his pride and joy.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Stuart “Butch” Allen; sister, Lora (Phil) Burgess; and brother-in-law, Don Manley.
Gary is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Eileen; daughters, Stacey (Jeff) Andrews and Jennifer (Doug) Ashbery; grandchildren, Nicholas, Olivia, Mallory and Madalyn; sisters, Judy Manley and Lynn (Bill) Seward; brother, Albert (Joyce) Allen; sister-in-law, Chris Allen as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, 21 W. Ave. Albion, Sunday, November 19th, from 1 to 4 p.m. His Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at the Gaines Carlton Community Church, 14585 Ridge Rd. Albion. Burial will be in Transit Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the church.
