Gary Befus
ALBION – R. Gary Befus age 76, passed away October 3, 2022 at the Garden Gate Health Care Facility in Cheektowaga, NY. He was born August 16, 1946 in Canada, a son of the late Robert and Marie Befus.
Gary served in the US Army during Vietnam. He was a member of the American Legion Sheret Post #35 of Albion, Albion VFW, and the Brockport Navy Club. He worked as a photographer, both professionally and while he was in the Service. Gary was well liked by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Susan; sister Beverly Wereley; several step-children, step-grandchildren, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.
There are no prior calling hours. His Graveside Service and Military Honors will be held Friday October 7th at 11:00am at Mt. Albion Cemetery in the Veterans Companion Section. His family would like to thank all his good friends for their support. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Legion Sheret Post #35 of Albion Honor Guard and Flag Committee, 3429 Gaines Basin Rd., Albion NY 14411.
