Gail Patricia Howes

YORK – Gail Patricia Howes, age 80, of York, NY passed away on July 29, 2023 surrounded by her loving family and friends at home.

Born on May 18,1943, Gail is predeceased by her parents, Bessie Bolton (Pike) and Robert Grah; her stepparents, Raymond Bolton Sr. and Ruth Grah; her husband, David Hugh Howes; her brother, Gary Grah; and two children, David Howes Jr. and Diane Howes.

She survived by her four loving children, Dale Howes & (Cindy Judd) of Kendall, NY, Darrel & (Kelly) Howes of Gray Court, SC, Gerald Howes of Albion, and Sherry & (Walton) Graves of York; her two sisters, Eileen & Nancy Grah of Kendall; her brother, Raymond & (Karen) Bolton Jr. of Oak Island, NC; four grandchildren, Dylan Howes, Derek & (Taylor) Howes, Damian Morfin Howes, Sadie Howes; and a great-grandchild, Archer Howes as well as several nieces, nephews, and tons of close cousins.

She was retired from SUNY Brockport College.

Being with family & close family friends at picnic gatherings is what she enjoyed most so in honor of her there will be a celebration of life on Saturday, July 27, 2024 for Gail. Location TBD. Burial of both David & Gail Howes will take place at the family plot in Lynhaven Cemetery in Lyndonville, NY on the same day. Stay tuned for event updates via FB & through Sherry Graves.
