Franklin J. “Frank” James, 68, of Pelzer, S.C., husband of Dawn Roberts James, passed away peacefully at home on Dec. 17, 2018.

Born in Fairmont, W.Va., he was the son of the late Lawrence Junior James and the late Edna Elizabeth Higginbotham James. Frank was a life member of the Crusaders Motorcycle Club in Medina. He worked at Abex in Medina, Conrail in Buffalo, Kistner Concrete in Lockport, the City of Greenville in South Carolina, Strange Bros. Grading in Taylors, S.C., and Ray Walker Trucking in Piedmont, S.C.

In addition to his wife, Frank is survived by four sons, Franklin “Kenny” (Nicole) James of Kannapolis, N.C., Jason (Melissa) James of Simpsonville, S.C., Jeremiah “JR” James of Pelzer, and Nicholas “Nick” (Anna) James of Albion; six grandchildren, Emily and Morgan James of Lyndonville, Nate and Abby James of Easley, S.C., Cameron Fick of Virginia Beach, Va., and Tristan Franklin James of Pelzer; two sisters, Ann (Ron) Marcinowski of Chandler, Ariz. and Jessie James of Medina; mother-in-law, Joyce Roberts of Albion; sisters-in-law, Cynthia “Cindy” Roberts of Albion and Judy Roberts (Jim) Bennett of Lyndonville; and brothers-in-law, Paul (Linda) Roberts of Albion and Mark (fiancée June McKinney) Roberts of Albion.

In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his sister, Susan James Schepis; and his father-in-law, Thomas A Roberts.

There were no funeral services. A memorial service will be held in New York in the spring.
