Elwin Joslyn

Elwin E. Joslyn entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior on Wed., April 3, 2019 with his loving family by his side. Born on Feb. 25, 1934, he was the son of the late Cedric and Marjorie (Everett) Joslyn.

He graduated from Albion High School and Alfred State College. A 32-year employee of Harrison Radiator Division of GM, he proudly served our country in the Navy for eight years during the Korean War.

In addition to being a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, he enjoyed the outdoors and spending time at the family cabin. He was active in Boy Scouts, where he attained the rank of Eagle Scout and later served as Scoutmaster, along with various leadership positions within the Lewiston Trail Council. He was an active member of Christ Community Church (the former First Baptist Church). His family was the center of his life, and he enjoyed any activity that included them.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Aneita (Gardner) Joslyn; his sons, Jeffrey Joslyn and Stephen (Kelly) Joslyn; grandchildren, Alisha (Tyler) Swob, Hannah Joslyn (Nathan Godson), Emily Joslyn (Justin Carlson), Blake (Amanda) Boyer and Robert James Bucolo; great-grandchildren, Lawson Swob and Jocelyn Boyer; a brother, Donald (Maralyn) Joslyn; and many cherished nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.

He was predeceased by an infant daughter, Christine Renee Joslyn.

Friends may call Sun., April 7 from 2 to 5 p.m. at Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Mon., April 8 at 11 a.m. at Christ Community Church, 140 Genesee St., Lockport.
