Edward LiPuma

October 19, 1937 – April 21, 2019
There is a time for every purpose; a time to rejoice … a time to mourn.

Ed LiPuma, of Lockport, passed away on Easter Sunday peacefully with his sons nearby, at the age of 81. He is survived by his brother, Thomas; his three sons, Richard, Robert and David; and his six grandchildren, Christopher, Joshua, Nicholas, Rachel, Rebecca and Andrew.

Ed was a 1955 graduate of Cardinal Hayes High School who earned his Bachelor of Arts degree at Iona College in 1959. Ed spent his professional life in Colorado, then moved to Wilson in 2006 to live with his son, Robert, who works for Lockport City School District. He enjoyed playing tennis, coaching Joshua’s sports teams, and spending time with his friends in Wilson and Lockport.

The family will receive friends at Kenneth H. Sherrie Funeral Home, 6139 East Ave., Newfane, on Wed., April 24 from 2 to 4 p.m. only. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Habitat For Humanity.
