Edward L. Salvatore, 89, of Albion, died Feb. 21, 2020 at his home following a short illness. He was born June 24, 1930 in Albion, a son of the late Angelo and Victoria (Schiavone) Salvatore, and he lived in this area most of his life.

Ed served in the U.S. Navy. He retired from Kodak, served as Mayor for the Village of Albion, and was the Chairman of the Albion Republican Committee. Ed was a lifetime member of the Albion Fire Department and served as Fire Chief for many years. He enjoyed boating and fishing.

Ed is survived by his loving friend, Betty Passarell; his sons, Edward (Claire), Steven (Karen), Michael (Paulette) and James; grandchildren, Emily, Valerie, Justin, Victoria, Alexander, Samantha and James; and nine great-grandchildren.

Services and burial will be at the convenience of the family.
