E. Louise Heveron Nicholson
MEDINA – E. Louise Heveron Nicholson, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at the age of 97. Born December 17, 1926 in Millville, Louise was a daughter of the late Roy and Jessie (Fraser) Cook.
She married Pat Heveron in 1947 and the couple had two sons. The couple ran the Maui Inn in Medina for many years. She was also well known for baking cakes for events in the community.
Louise was an active member of Butts-Clark Post #204 American Legion- Ladies Auxiliary, Lincoln Post #1483 VFW- Ladies Auxiliary and the former Moose Lodge in Medina for over 60 years each. “Weeze”, as she was known to many at the American Legion, enjoyed her social life and continued to tend bar until her retirement at the young age of 90.
Predeceased by first husband, Pat Heveron in 1986; second husband, John Nicholson in 1995; siblings, Roy Cook, Wayne (Marjory) Barry, Victor (Shirley) Caleb, Jim (Margery) Cook, Suzanne Bigelow and Roger Kenyon.
Survivors include her two sons, John (Marcia) Heveron and Scott (Sandy) Heveron; grandchildren, Judy (Joe) Heveron-Delikat, Eric Heveron, Marc (Kelly) Heveron, Chase (Britteny) Heveron, Tiffany (Deenan) Meharg, Joey (Elizabeth) Zagmeister and Amber Nedidit; 14 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; siblings, Marilyn Kenyon, Phyllis Allport, Janice (David) Wells and Bea Cook; also many nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank Gary Hill and the Sons of the American Legion for all the kindness that they gave Louise in her final years.
Services will be announced for a later date in the spring. Interment will be in Boxwood Cemetery.
