Douglas Alan Morey
ALBION- Douglas Alan Morey, age 71, died June 21, 2023 in the Martin Linsin Hospice Residence following a long illness.
He was born October 3, 1951 in Batavia to George and Rowena (Wright) Morey and had lived in this area all of his life. Doug was a psychiatric nurse for over 30 years and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as going on cruises. Mr. Morey was predeceased by two brothers: George Morey, Jr. and Jerold Morey.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years Barbara, a daughter: Maryellen (Keith) Cramer of OH, sisters: Dianne Szczupakowski of Bergen, Marie (George) Follett of Albion, sister-in-law: Linda Morey of Olean, 5 grandchildren: Alexandre, Elijah, James, Jacob, Savannah as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews
The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Home, 21 West Avenue-Albion, Saturday July 1st from 1-3 pm where his Memorial Service will be held at 3 pm following visitation. Private interment in Lakeside Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family.
