Dorothy B. “Dot” Neal

Dorothy NealDorothy B. “Dot” Neal, 86, of Albion, passed away with her family and Rev. Susan Boring by her side on Jan. 25, 2020 at the Martin-Linsin Hospice Residence. She was born July 15, 1933 in the Town of Gaines to the late Samuel and Lena “Madge” (Hibbard) Browne.

Dot was an active member with the Home Bureau, Eagle Harbor United Methodist Church and Albion First Baptist Church. She took many trips all over with her close friend, Phyllis, and went to theaters with her sister-in-law, Jeannie. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Albert “Bert,” in 1993; her son, Dan, in 2009; her granddaughter, Lisa, in 2013; her great-grandson, Leon Sidari, in 2017; her sister, Geraldine Rogers; and her husband, Roland.

Dot is survived by her children, Richard (Margaret), Dean (Karen), David (Tammy) and Lori (Mitch) Murek; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren plus one on the way; daughter-in-law, Sue Neal; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends on Mon., Jan. 27 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc., 21 West Ave., Albion NY 14411, where her funeral service will be held Tue., Jan. 28 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Mt. Albion Cemetery.
