Donna R. Parmley
Donna R. Parmley, 80, of Newfane, died Aug. 29, 2020 in Buffalo General Hospital following a short illness. She was born Nov. 26, 1939 in Cambria to Raymond and Helen (Schuler) Townsend and was a lifelong resident of this area.
Donna was a 1957 graduate of Wilson High School, was a member of St. Bridgette’s Church, and enjoyed many pleasures in life, including knitting, ceramics, cooking and romance novels.
She was the sweetest, most loving and caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother anyone could ever hope for.
Mrs. Parmley was predeceased by her husband, Ashley, in 2003; as well as her brother, Raymond Townsend; and sister, Nancy French.
She is survived by her son, Robert (Deanna) Parmley of Barker; her daughters, Sharon Duhow of Lockport and Dawn (Jason) Burkett of Pennsylvania; her sister, Anne George of Pendleton; grandchildren, Ashley, Anthony, Paul, Christa, Ian and Autumn; great-grandchildren, Sean, Anthony, Robert, Hailie, Emily and Vincent; as well as several nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling hours. Private service and interment in North of the Ridge Cemetery will take place at the convenience of the family.
