Donna M. Bowen
Donna M. (Hughson) Bowen, 76, of Clarendon, passed away Thu., Sept. 17 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Donna was born Sept. 18, 1943 in Albion, the daughter of the late Clark and Esther (Lavender) Hughson.
She was a librarian at SUNY Brockport for many years, and she also taught ceramics. Donna was a foster parent to many children, and she loved gardening, cooking, and all animals, especially her parrot. Donna also volunteered at the Animal Service League and enjoyed watching the golden oldies on TV. Donna will be remembered for her kind and caring nature, and for being willing to help anyone in need.
She was predeceased by her husband, Roy.
Donna is survived by her son, Jason (Crystal) Bowen; grandchildren, Jared, Chelsea, Cassidy, Chloe, Cheyanne and Clarissa; aunt, Grace Bingamon; sister-in-law, Charlene Bowen; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 16650 Route 31, Holley, Wednesday, September 30, from 5 to 8 p.m. Donna’s funeral service will be held at the funeral home Thursday, October 1, at 10 a.m.
