Dona M. Seitzer

Dona M. Seitzer, 77, entered into Heaven on Sun., Oct. 3, 2021 at the United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia, following a brief illness.

Dona was born on April 30, 1944 in Williamsport, PA, a daughter of the late Lester L. and Dorothy (Robbins) Seitzer. She graduated from Medina High School in 1963. Dona worked as a customer service representative first for Marine Midland and then HSBC Bank in Medina, retiring after 22 years. She was a longtime active member of the United Methodist Church of the Abundant Harvest in Knowlesville. Dona was a member of the United Methodist Women of Knowlesville and also belonged to the Moose Club. She loved to crochet, do ceramics and was an avid reader.

Dona was preceded in death by her son, Mario Fidanza in 2012; granddaughter, Michaela Fidanza in 2009; and brothers: Donald “Lee” Seitzer, Frank “Butch” Seitzer and Paul Seitzer.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Michael Fidanza, Tina (Michael) Davey and Katie (Eric) Taylor; ten grandchildren: Edith Fidanza, David Davey, Amber (Robert) Davey, Brandi Davey Ottaviano, Dylan Davey, Harley Fidanza, Mario Fidanza, Jr., Lena Young, Cody Taylor and Tricia Taylor; fifteen great-grandchildren; sister, Joyce Seitzer-Scott; also many nieces and nephews.

An hour of visitation will be held on Fri., Oct. 8 from 10-11 a.m. with her memorial service immediately to follow at 11 a.m. at Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina. Rev. Garry McCaffery, Pastor of the United Methodist Church of the Abundant Harvest will officiate. Interment will be in Bates Road Cemetery. Masks will be mandatory.
