Dicksie A. Rauber

Dicksie A. “Dixie” Rauber, 59, of Lockport, passed away on April 5, 2020 after a brave battle with cancer. She was born Oct. 9, 1960 to Mylen and Dicksie (Collar) Daugherty.

Dixie loved her dog, Shaggy, and all of her birds, but she had a special and adoring love for her family. She will be missed by everyone she touched and will always be remembered for her kindness and her laugh.

In addition to her father, she was predeceased by her grandparents, Bertha and Richard; her uncle, John; and her aunt, Sally Collar.

Dixie is survived by her sons, Dennis (Sharon Lee Chase) Zimmerman, Shawn and Jeremy; husband, Kenny; mother, Dicksie; mother-in-law, Joanne Marshall; siblings, Kathleen (José) Rubalcaba, Mylen “Buddy” Daugherty, Marie (Richard Wendt) Rairie, Matthew (Amanda) Daugherty and Michael (Ashley) Daugherty; grandchildren, Ian Meier, Mason Zimmerman, Eli Zimmerman and Nathan Chase-Krantz; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and many friends.

Services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.

In appreciation for the great love and care that Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center gave to Dixie, memorial contributions in her name may be made to Roswell Park Alliance Foundation, P.O. Box 631, Buffalo NY 14240.
