Delbert (Del) A. Walck

Delbert (Del) A. Walck, 80, of Suffolk, VA, passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2022, in Portsmouth, VA, surrounded by his loving family.  Del was born on April 24, 1941, to Andrew and Edna Walck in North Tonawanda, NY.  He was a graduate of Medina High School in Medina, NY.

Delbert retired after over 30 years from Lipton Tea in Suffolk, VA, and previously in Albion, NY.  Del was a member of the Automobile Club of America and the Lions Club.  His passions included his family, antique automobiles, automobile racing (especially F1), the Canadian Rockies, lighthouses, and his beloved dog, Skipper.  He was also known as a man who could build and fix anything.  No project was too big for him, and his abilities were limitless.

Delbert is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Margaret H. Walck (Meindl); children: Marcia L. Walck, Lisa (Doug) A. Rein (Walck), Susan (Keith) M. Owen (Heye), Annette (Roger) M. Allis (Heye), Kenneth E. Heye, and Joanne M. Heye; several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; as well as dear friends.

In addition to being predeceased by his parents and siblings, he was predeceased by his first wife, Joyce A. Walck (Martin); and daughter, Catherine L. Davies (Heye).

A private service will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
