Dee Ann Parker

BARRE- Dee Ann was welcomed home by her Lord and Savior on August 25, 2023 at the age of 79. Predeceased by her parents, Kenneth and Mary Jane Rhodey and brother Kenneth Rhodey Jr. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Gary, devoted daughters Wendy Amering, Kristen (Chris) Stevens, and Kimberly (Roger) Taylor and eight amazing grandchildren Cole, Madeleine and Maxwell Amering, Parker Stevens, Melodie (Ryan) Foster, Jessalyn and Camron Taylor. Brothers-in-law David (Betty) Parker, Marc (Irina) Parker and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Dee Ann grew up on the family farm in Barre, NY. She Graduated from Albion High School and furthered her degree at Alfred State. She worked as a Secretary at WE-MO-CO until her retirement in 1999.

Dee Ann and her husband Gary were sweethearts for 65 years and married for 58.They had a special bond with one another that was admired by all of their friends and family. Dee Ann was happiest when spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren. She especially enjoyed their vacations, camping trips and family gatherings. Holidays and birthday celebrations were some of her favorite times.

Her many talents included caring for the beautiful gardens around her home, sewing clothing, curtains and countless costumes for her children and grandchildren. She was a great crafter including painting, refinishing furniture and scrapbooking. She also meticulously documented and organized all of her photos. Dee Ann also enjoyed baking, playing piano and solitaire and doing puzzles.

Dee Ann was a lover of all animals but especially horses and dogs including Riley and her most recent companion Maggie.

Dee Ann was loving, kind and gentle and always smiling and was loved by everyone who knew her. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.

Family will receive friends Friday September 1st from 4-7PM with a service to follow, at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Ave.
