Dayton K. “Butch” Eastman, 69, of Medina, passed away peacefully at home with his loving family at his side.

Born on Feb. 3, 1950 in Medina, he was the son of Emma (McAdoo) Pritt and the late Norman Dayton Eastman.

Butch attended Medina High School. At the age of 18, he started working as a tow motor operator in the warehouse at Harrison Radiator, where he was employed for 31 years. He retired in March 1999. He was a member of the Junior Wilson Sportsmen’s Club and the VFW Club in Medina. In his spare time, he enjoyed animals, watching NASCAR, and riding his Harley Davidson, but most of all he enjoyed having good times with his family and friends.

Besides his mother, Butch is survived by his loving life partner, Georgiana Tombari of Medina; children, Dayton Kenneth Eastman Jr. of Caldwell, Idaho, Barbara Shah of Chicago, Ill., Dawn Eastman of Newfane, Angel Eastman of Akron, and Rachel Eastman of Buffalo; nine grandchildren; siblings, Kathleen (Glenn) Giltner II of Medina and Norman (Marsha) Eastman of Batavia; several nieces and nephews; and stepmother, Linda Eastman of Middleport. Butch was an awesome stepfather to Jolene and Julie Totaro of Lyndonville.

Besides his father, Butch is predeceased by a sister, Carolyn Eastman; and a nephew, Glenn Giltner III.

Relatives and friends may call on Sun., Oct. 6 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Bogan & Tuttle Funeral Home, 226 Pearl St., Medina NY 14103, where a funeral service will be held on Mon., Oct. 7 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Aleka Schmidt officiating. Burial will be in West Ridgeway Cemetery.
