David S. Nayman

David S. Nayman passed away peacefully on Jul 5, 2022 at the Martin-Linsin Hospice Residence.  He was born on July 30, 1938 to the late John and Mamie (Spade) Nayman.

David was a lifelong resident of Albion and a parishioner at the Holy Family Parish.  He proudly served in the Albion Fire Department, Auxiliary Police, and the Knights of Columbus.  David spent his career in the grocery business, working at Guidos and Pawlak’s Bells.  Upon retirement, he continued working as a crossing guard for Albion Central School students.  David had many passions.  He loved the New York Yankees, watching old westerns,  and was an avid wine maker, winning several awards. He also loved to drive through Albion in his classic blue Cadillac, especially for parades.

David is survived by his cousins Vincent Spade and Susan (Douglas) Frazer.  He was a friend to all and will be fondly remembered by cousins Daniel (Joyce) Monacelli, Joseph Fuller and good friends Roger Gibson and David Telga.

The family will receive friends on Thu., Jul 14, 2022 from 4-7 pm at Christopher Mitchell Funeral Home, 21 West Ave., Albion. His mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Family Parish by Father Richard Czimar on Fri., July 15, 2022 at 10 am.  Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Supportive Care of Orleans; Albion Fire Department, 108 Platt St., Albion, NY 14411; or a charity of one’s choice.
