David R. Parsell

David R. Parsell, 76, of Medina, entered into rest on Fri., Jan. 17, 2020 following a lengthy illness. He was born Oct. 26, 1943 in Buffalo, a son of the late John L. and Hannah J. (Ridgeway) Parsell.

He worked for Fisher-Price Toys in Medina for 27 years. He then worked for Kleen Brite in Brockport and Foley PLP in Rochester, and he finally retired from Bestway Distribution in Buffalo. David enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting at his property in Friendship, N.Y. He raced cars in his early days and was an avid NASCAR fan. Most of all, David loved spending time with his children and family, who will miss him dearly.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Sandra M. (Richards) Parsell of Medina; children, Kimberly (Richard) Lewis of Franklinville, N.Y., Terri (Peter) Hilmey of Clarence, N.Y., Robert (Heather) Parsell of Medina, and David (Christina) Parsell Jr. of Medina; 14 grandchildren, Christopher, Chelle, Tami, Richard, Rebeka, Philip, Cera, David, DJ, Elsie, Charlotte, Henrietta, Haylee and David III; seven great-grandchildren, Kierstyn, Kaileb, Paige, Dylan, Mercedes, Craigery and Vincent; sister in-law, Susan Trowbridge; nephew, Mark (Becky) Trowbridge; and many close friends.

The family will be having a celebration of David’s life at a later date in the spring.
