David M. Williams, 65, entered into rest on Wed., Feb. 10, 2021 at the Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center in Rochester.

David was born in Medina on July 20, 1955 a son of the late George J. and Gertrude A. (Pszczulkoski) Williams. He was the middle child full of adventure. As he was deaf from birth, David attended the Rochester School for the Deaf in Rochester, NY. This is where he met lifelong friends. He was a member of Boy Scout Troop 29 and many additional organizations. He enjoyed visiting nursing homes and spending time with the elderly, where he volunteered frequently. David had a passion for skiing and building things. He loved to use his carpentry skills to make several home improvements, to a home he truly loved.

David was member of Pinnacle Lutheran Church, with Pastor John Rushton. He held positions in the Church that ran board and congregation meetings. After graduation, David attended Rochester Institute of Technology/National Technical Institute for the Deaf and earned an Associate’s Degree in Drafting in 1978. He went to work for ABB Corporation in Connecticut. Then later he went to work for Dollinger’s Motels in Albion, Brockport and Medina and remained a dedicated employee and friend for over 40 years. His work family was family.
Proud of his middle name Mark, he would sign everything as David M. Williams. He loved the color red. He is survived by his sister, Donna M. Graves; niece, Krystin Graves-Moseley (David); nephews: Philip Williams (Dawn) and Eric J. Williams (Mary-Crystal); several great-nieces and nephews; and many cousins that he adored. Through his adult life, he was especially close to his cousin Karen Lawton (Gary) who were his go to people for everything.

He was predeceased in death by his father, George J. Williams; mother, Gertrude A. Williams; and his older brother, Michael J. Williams.
There will be no prior visitation. A private graveside committal service will be held at a later date in Boxwood Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina. Share condolences at www.cooperfuneralhome.com
