David L. “Porky” Smith

David L. “Porky” Smith, 69, of Medina, entered into rest on Sat., Nov. 28, 2020 at Unity Hospital in Rochester.

Born May 7, 1951 in Lockport, he was a son of the late Harold R. Smith, Sr. and Emily J. (Kiser) Smith. He graduated from Medina High School class of 1970. David married the love of his life, the former Cindy J. Fuller on August 21, 1976. He worked as an auto and collision mechanic for various shops over the years. David also worked for Six Flags Darien Lake as a certified pool operator and ride mechanic. Lastly he worked for Zoladz Limousine in Alden in maintenance. An antique car enthusiast, he enjoyed going to car shows. David also enjoyed fishing, spending time at the lake and especially his trips up to the Thousand Islands.

Survivors include his loving wife of 44 years, Cindy Smith; his son, Brandon Smith both of Medina; brother, Robert (Barbara) Smith; nieces: Rachel, Pam, Julie, Lisa, Robin, Hillary, Holli and Teresa; along with nephews: Adam and Travis.

Beside his parents, David was predeceased by siblings: Marylou Maynard, Michael Smith, Ronald Smith, Harold Smith, Jr., and sister-in-law, Heather Smith.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.  Arrangements are in the care of Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Please share condolences at www.cooperfuneralhome.com
