Daniel Webb Rhoads

MEDINA – Daniel Webb Rhoads of Floral City, Florida, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2022, after a short illness.

Born on May 27, 1941, in Buffalo, he was the son of the late David and Ursula (Webb) Rhoads. Danny was also predeceased by his wife, Carolyn Rhoads.

Upon graduation, Danny served in the U.S. Navy and then moved to Medina, where he worked for and retired from Niagara Mohawk Power Co. after a long career. After retirement, Danny and Carol moved to Floral City in 1998. Danny enjoyed fishing, boating and spending time with family and friends. He had many memories of time spent with family on Lime Lake, Machias, NY. Danny will be remembered for his sense of humor, friendliness and kindness.

Left to cherish his memory are his children Jon Rhoads and Gina (Jamie) Stringfellow of Florida; Jennifer (Paul) Hessel of New York; stepchildren Cynthia (Randy) Hurt and Carrie (Mark) Standish of New York; Chad (Lisa) Plummer of Florida; brother David (Marilyn) Rhoads of Ohio; sister Rachael (Kenneth) Druszkowski of New York; as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and in-laws.

A memorial service will be held in Florida at the convenience of the family. Interment will be at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida. Arrangements were made Chas E. Davis Funeral Home in Inverness, FL.
