Constance Lyster

Constance W. Lyster, 84, of Medina, entered into rest with her loving daughters at her side on Fri., March 20, 2020 at the Orchard Manor Rehab & Nursing Center.

Born April 7, 1935 in Medina, she was a daughter to the late Carl and Helen (Parker) Webber. She graduated from Medina High School in the class of 1953. She married William F. Lyster on Feb. 27, 1960, and together they raised three daughters. She was a lifelong and active parishioner of St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in Medina. Mrs. Lyster worked with her sister, Lorraine, for 13 years at the Four Seasons Fabric Shop. She then worked in the Town of Ridgeway clerk’s office, from which she eventually retired. A talented seamstress, Mrs. Lyster enjoyed sewing and knitting. She made all of her daughters’ wedding gowns and accompanying bridesmaids’ dresses and loved to knit Afghans for any newborns that came along. Mrs. Lyster also enjoyed traveling, especially her memorable trips to Ireland with her sister, Lorraine, and several shopping trips to New York City. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters, Patricia (Brian) Albone, Linda (Michael) Wolski and Carlene (Larry) Stockwell; grandchildren, Christopher (Laura Taylor) Albone, Theresa (Justin) Gray, Kari (Roger) Jones, Jessie (Benjamin) Birch, Joshua (Melissa Carlton) Stockwell and Samantha (Isaiah) Johnson; five great-grandchildren, Nathan, Parker, Cole, Brock and Wyatt; her sister, Lorraine (late Pierson) Root; sister in-law, Alice Webber; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, William Lyster, in 2014; and her brother, Carl Webber.

Friends may call on Sat., Sept. 5 from 10 to 11 a.m. at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1355 West Ave., Medina, where her memorial service will immediately follow at 11 a.m. Masks and social distancing will be mandatory. Burial will be in West Ridgeway Cemetery.
