Clayton A. Popp
Clayton A. Popp passed away on Thu., July 15, one day after his 61st birthday at Highland Hospital, Rochester, with his foster mom at his side.
Clay was born on July 14, 1960 in Rochester, NY. He had lived in the Rochester area most of his life, with the last 4 years in Holley with his foster family. Clay most enjoyed entertaining others with his great sense of humor. He loved Oldies music, Pink Floyd and playing the drums. Some of his favorite activities were bowling, therapeutic horse back riding, family activities, and dining out. He loved sweets and ice cream.
Clay was predeceased by his parents, Delores and John Popp; and his older brother, Pat Popp.
Clay is survived by his foster parents, Sue and LaVerne Lear; foster siblings: Skip (Gloria) Lear, Annette (Greg) Mrzywka, Robert Yunke, May Stotts; and several foster nieces and nephews. Clay is also survived by his sister, Pam Haase; brother, Eric (Karen) Popp; and nephews: Jay, John, and Sean.
A graveside service for Clay will be held at 10 a.m. Sat., July 24 at Irondequoit Cemetery, 3671 Culver Rd., Irondequoit, NY 14622. Memorials may be directed to Purple Pony Therapeutic Horesemanship, PO Box 148, Bergen, NY 14416.
