Clarence Richard Hare, 84, of Gasport, passed away on May 8, 2019 in Land O’ Lakes, Fla. He was born Oct. 24, 1934 to the late Clarence and Clara (Robison) Hare.

Richard (Clarence) was a successful innovator/entrepreneur who founded Trek, Inc. He was dedicated and loyal to his family and friends, and he was someone who could always be relied upon. Richard enjoyed spending the long winter months in Florida, visiting with old friends at the local coffee shops and finding irresistible deals at auctions and flea markets.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, Lucy Woodworth, Kenneth Hare, Henry LaVern Hare, Velsa Joyce Edwards, and Doris Hainsey.

Clarence is survived by his siblings, Marian Riley, Audrey Townsend and Velma Jean Schulwitz; and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Thu., May 30 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Sherrie Bream Funeral Home, 4521 Main St., Gasport NY 14067, where his service will be held immediately following at 12 p.m. Interment with military honors will take place in Hartland Central Cemetery.
