Christine A. Weslowski

Christine A. Weslowski, 74, died Jan. 15, 2020 at home in Albion with her family by her side, after a long illness. She was born in Passaic, N.J., a daughter of the late Stanley and Agnes Kubicz.

Through her life, she lived in Passaic, N.J., Bullville, Fla. and Conesus, N.Y. She graduated from Orange County Community College and Mount St. Mary College with a bachelor’s degree in education. She worked for 35 years at Valley Central School District as an English teacher at the middle school, and then as an elementary teacher at Berea Elementary School. Christine enjoyed knitting, sewing, crocheting and, in her retirement years, traveling and gambling.

Christine is survived by her husband of 44 years, Edward; her children, Ann (Theodore) Sargent, Matthew (Jennifer) Weslowski, and Mary Elizabeth (Wayne) Deary; her loved and adorable grandchildren, Audrey, Jacob, Ella, Nicholas, Ryan, and her newest bundle of joy to come; her brother, Dr. Stanley M. (Janina) Kubicz; her aunt, Michele Gusciora; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends on Mon., Jan. 20 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc., 21 West Ave., Albion, where prayers will be recited Tue., Jan. 21 at 9:30 a.m., followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Family Parish/St. Joseph’s Church at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
