Charlotte Mae Palisano-Maiorana

She married her beloved husband, the late Nunzio T. Maiorana, on July 4, 1961, and together they embarked on a journey of love, education, and art. Charlotte’s passion for education led her to graduate from St. Joseph’s Academy Catholic School in 1957 and Rosary Hill College thereafter. Her devotion to the Catholic school system remained steadfast until her final days.
A true patron of the arts, Charlotte will be remembered for her selfless contributions to the community. In 2021, she built and established The Nunzio T. Maiorana Art Center at DeSales Catholic School in Lockport, NY, bringing her vision to life. This beacon of creativity stands as a testament to her commitment to empowering future generations of artists.
Charlotte’s love for fashion was evident in her remarkable talent as a seamstress and clothing and hat designer. She not only created exquisite wedding dresses and vails, but shared her expertise with others. She will rest at the fashion capitals of the world in New York City, Milan, Italy, Paris, France, London, England; and conclude her journey at her family’s hometown in Caltavuturo, Sicily.
Her generosity and kindness extended to her role as a homeschool teacher for the Medina Central Schools, where she nurtured the minds and hearts of her students. A loyal supporter of local sports, Charlotte could often be found cheering on the Medina Mustang teams, inspiring her children, their friends, and the entire community with her infectious enthusiasm.
She is predeceased by her husband Nunzio, her parents and a great-grandson.
Though she may have left this earthly realm, Charlotte’s spirit will continue to uplift and inspire all those whose lives she touched. She is survived by her children, David, Joseph, and Ann-Marie; five grandchildren, Michel, Alyssa, Emiley, Colin, and McKayla; several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Her siblings, Carol Silva and Francis Palisano, remain as testaments to her enduring legacy.
A Catholic Mass and Celebration of Life will be announced in the spring of 2026, providing an opportunity for all who knew and loved Charlotte to gather and honor her remarkable life.
