Charles W. Redinger, 63, of Bergen, passed away on Wed., Dec. 26, 2018 at his home, under the care of his family and Homecare & Hospice.

Charles was born March 7, 1955 in Batavia, a son of Agnes (Townley) Redinger of Bergen and the late Ernest Redinger.

Charles was a longtime farmer in Genesee County. Besides farming, his priority after his family was to keep his master electrician license, which he earned through many years of education and employment. He enjoyed hunting, and he was the president of the Zoning Board of Appeals for Bergen.

He is survived by his mother; his wife, Carolyn (Hill) Redinger of Bergen; two daughters, Faye (Colin) McAllister of Batavia and Laura (fiancé Robert Schrenker) Redinger of Bergen; two brothers, Russell (Kimberlee) Redinger of Stafford and Daniel (Karen) Redinger of Byron; one sister, Sandra (James) McKenzie of Bergen; nieces and nephews, Amanda (Jeremy) Holbrook of Bergen, Robert Redinger of Bergen, Allison McKenzie of Bergen, Ashley Redinger of Batavia, and Zachary Redinger of Byron.

Calling hours will take place on Sun., Dec. 30 from 2 to 5 p.m. at H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 51 S. Lake St., Bergen, where services will be held on Mon., Dec. 31 at 11 a.m. Charles will be laid to rest in Byron Cemetery, Byron.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
