Charles “Charlie” Marcinowski, 73, of Aurora, Colo., passed away peacefully July 22, 2019 surrounded by his children. Charlie was born May 11, 1946 in Albion, son of the late Andrew “Jerry Penny” and Isabelle (Jablonski) Marcinowski. He lived in Medina the majority of his life before moving to Colorado in 2014 to be closer to his children.

He was a 1965 graduate of Medina High School. Charlie served his country in the U.S. Army until his discharge in 1971. He was a humble veteran of the Vietnam War. Following in his father’s footsteps, he was proudly employed by Niagara Mohawk Power as an electrical lineman for over 30 years before retiring in 2006. Charlie was a wonderful and caring soul – an amazing father, grandfather and friend. He was a jack of all trades who was there to offer help when you needed him. For that, he will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his brothers, Bob Marcinowski and Ron (Ann) Marcinowski; brother-in-law, Richard Howes; son, Brian Marcinowski; daughter, Kelly (Brandon) Sewall; three grandchildren, Luke, Drew and Maya; three step-grandchildren, Drew, Luke and Lily; several nieces and nephews.

Besides both his parents, Charlie was predeceased by his sister, Shirley Howes.

The family would like to honor Charlie with a Celebration of Life to be held at the Butts-Clark Post 204 American Legion, 305 N. Main St., Medina, on Sat., Aug. 3 beginning at 3 p.m. Family and friends are welcome to join. Burial will take place at the family’s discretion.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in Charlie’s name may be made to Butts-Clark Post #204 American Legion, 305 N. Main St., Medina NY 14103.
