Charles L. (Beach) Herman

Born March 12, 1998, in Rochester, NY, he was the natural son of the late Justina Jakes and Charles L. Beach, Sr.
Charles graduated from Medina High School in 2016. A proud Mustang, he excelled in wrestling and loved playing football during his high school years. He participated in the Upward Bound Program through which he traveled to Vietnam. He went on to attend SUNY Brockport. Charles served in the U.S. Army. During his time in the military, he served in Korea, Texas, and lastly Oklahoma, where he lived for a while before returning to the Medina area to live closer to family.
Charles had a passion for music; he loved singing and playing guitar. Whether it was doing yardwork or simply going for a walk, he loved being outdoors. Charles was always willing to help anyone in need. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Left to cherish his memory are his adoptive parents, Jason and Amy Herman; siblings, Valentina Ruiz-Jakes, Sydney Brown, Kyle Herman (Arianna Pluskwa) and Emma (Reagan) Ward; nieces and nephews, Zariah and Kryslyn Brown and Liam Ward; aunts, Vera (Ramone) Mendez-Hernandez and Earlean Coger; uncle, Tommy Lee Jakes; adoptive grandmother, Wendy Ainsworth; adoptive aunts and uncles, Amanda (Michael) Brooks, Allen Ainsworth and Anthony (Lindsay) Ainsworth.
An hour of visitation will be held on Saturday, May 9 from 1 to 2 p.m. at the New Hope Community Church (First Baptist Church), 203 West Center St., Medina. Full military honors will be accorded at 2 p.m., immediately followed by his memorial service.
